Music

The foundation of our music program is the general music class. Students in kindergarten meet once each week and elementary classes meet twice each week for instruction in singing, rhythm, note recognition, pitch awareness, and music history.  

Students in grades 3 and 4 also receive instruction on the recorder. All students participate in a Christmas concert and spring program.

This musical instruction thoroughly prepares students for participation in the band and choir opportunities available in the upper grades, and most of our students have graduated with a proficiency in at least one musical instrument.
